One of my favorite heroes!

Loved this story so much! A great addition to the series, and loved the connection between the MCs. Sandy may be one of my favorite heroes with how kind and patient he is.

The Baron’s Halo by Jenna Jaxon is the second installment in her enchanting series, The Welwyn Marriage Wager. Within its pages, readers are transported to a Regency world where mistletoe weaves its magic, and hearts collide in delightful ways.

Isabelle Devereaux, our spirited heroine, isn’t actively seeking a husband. Yet, thanks to her mother’s insistence, she finds herself amidst the social whirl of the Little Season. Isabelle plans to refuse any gentleman who offers for her, resigned to the fate of spinsterhood. But then enters Baron MacKay, affectionately known as Sandy to his friends. Sandy seeks a wife to win a family wager, and when he meets Isabelle, he’s dazzled by her beauty and drawn to her vulnerability.

From their first encounter, Sandy charms Isabelle with his kindness and generosity. Against her will, Isabelle falls in love with him. Despite her misgivings, she agrees to marry Sandy, even as circumstances spiral out of control. As their wedding approaches, Isabelle must confront her demons and decide whether she can marry Sandy without revealing the one impediment that could shatter their happiness forever.

Jenna Jaxon’s writing is scorching-hot, and the chemistry between Isabelle and Sandy ignites the pages. The tension, the stolen kisses, and the secrets—they all blend seamlessly into a tale of longing and desire. Isabelle’s resilience and Sandy’s complexity make them a couple worth rooting for.
