The Infidelity Curse by Barbara Monajem
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Loved this story and that she got her happy ending. I read the whole series and this was a great way to help make things right for this character!
Barbara Monajem’s “The Infidelity Curse” is an outstanding historical romance that swept me away to the glittering ballrooms and clandestine affairs of Regency London. Set against a backdrop of societal rules and hidden desires, this novel weaves a spellbinding tale of love, secrets, and redemption.
Lucretia Tifton, freed from her cruel husband’s grasp, faces a new challenge when she learns that the guardian chosen for her longed-for baby is part of a line of earls notorious for separating their children from unfaithful wives. The elusive new earl, Giles, the Earl of Netherbroke, is certain to hear the gossip about Lucretia. Will he prove as heartless as his ancestors?
Giles, a talented furniture maker, unexpectedly inherits the earldom and becomes saddled with an unwanted guardianship. The baby’s mother, Lucretia, is the loveliest woman he’s ever seen. Despite suspicions of her adultery, Giles is determined not to succumb to the Infidelity Curse that plagued his family.
As danger threatens Lucretia, Giles realizes the only way to protect her is to make her his own. Their chemistry sizzles, and their journey from suspicion to love is both captivating and heartwarming.
Monajem’s prose transports readers to a bygone era, where passion defies societal norms. “The Infidelity Curse” is a must-read for historical romance enthusiasts—a tale of second chances, forgiveness, and the courage to break free.
